He was so exhausted he fell asleep halfway through his bottle. If you've ever seen this kid eat, you would know that he MUST have been tired. In fact, this morning he finished his bottle before I even finished changing his diaper! This picture was taken facing his baby mirror as I was in the front seat and he is still facing backwards :)
We finally broke down....actually it was Allen's bright idea. The kids got a pet for their other tax treat. It is a purple beta. The kids are just so thrilled! I try to prepare them for the thing not to last very long. Every morning we run to the aquarium and say, "Is he dead yet?" :) Nope, not yet!
Hannah and her new fish she named Wally. She was so cute. She couldn't bear to put that things down while we finished our shopping in Walmart. She guarded it with her life ;)
Can you tell how pleased she is? She has already asked for another one. NOOO!
Just an unposed update picture, I guess. Don't mind the toy filled mess around us. Notice Wally can't even be left alone when getting her hair done :)

Wesley had a beta that lived for about 4 years. He named it Fishy Fishy Fish. He just died a few weeks ago. When Heather told Damon that he died, Damon asked her if it was a hard day for Wesley. Wesley's response to his death was "He lived a good life". Ha...how funny! At least he wasn't sad.
Ha ha ha ha! That is SOOO cute. Absolutely mature response. How old is he? He has had to grow up a lot faster than he should. Email me an update on them.
He just turned 8 in December.
hey friend - i had a fish and it lived for over 2 years and i am HORRIBLE and keeping things alive -i kill every plant....chip our dog has done ok though ;)
Ha! Actually one of the things that sold us on this beta is that it said it thrives in shallow murky water :)
I love the hair combing picture. It is a daily torture ritual in our house. I love long hair on Sierra but the snarls are terrible to get out!
Yes, it is in our house too Jen! Thankfully she does better when there is a distraction...so I usually make her watch tv, play with her fish.....etc :)

Yeah I'm doing fine. I guess I go to your page so frequently that my computer saved the page and never refreshed it, so I thought you just weren't blogging as often. I finally realized it when Steve said I had more comments on my page than was listed on my page at home.
