Thursday with A & G 2

Thursday we got to go to the St. Louis Science Center with Auntie Karen. We got in for free and got to park in the free parking. Karen is a science teacher so she got to show the kids all kinds of cool stuff. It was nice to play indoors too because it was 98 degrees out :)
On the bridge you walk over the interstate. They have radar guns up there for you to check people's speed. They really enjoyed that.

Looking down on the interstate below.

Playing on the computers. The programs were super kid friendly. I haven't taught my kids the computer yet. So, Hannah thought this was a huge blessing!

Building lots of stuff. The hands-on section for building is so great for my kids' ages!

Little hamster Gavin and hamster Emily making the wheel turn.

Joseph getting in on some of the fun.

This was cool. This was a mummy that was found and donated to the Science Center of a 7-8 month old baby. It was a super day full of science and learning unbeknownst to the kids. Super fieldtrip :)

Wednesday with A & G 2

The kids have had a super time playing dress up together. Thankfully, I had put all that stuff in the basement. So, they have been able to nake a huge mess, and I don't have to look at it :)

Wednesday we went back over to MawMaw and Papa's house. They had lunch ready, the pool ready, the bikes ready and all the motorized vehicles ready!!!! The kids had so much fun, plus I was able to get some bills made out and cards sent out. Everyone was happy :) They took a golf cart ride down to the creek. They were able to spot two deer and a fox! Very cool

2nd Monday with A & G

Yesterday we got to go to the Monroe County Fair with Auntie Karen, MawMaw and Papa. We were able to get there before three (all except Allen who of course was still working) and got in for free and free parking! What a blessing.

The cute headband triplets :) I found these headbands at Walgreens for $1.99! They are like $12.99 at Target!

Three generations of Kish men at the fair. Priceless!!!

Is this Wilbur? We are watching Charlotte's Web today in honor of our trip to the county fair and swine viewing :)

We got to pet all kinds of animals from sheep to a donkey to rabbits and cows. Fun times for city kids :)

Auntie Karen kissing donkey....you make up your own joke :)

The kids are all getting along so well. This age span is really good. If I had four kids, I would like them to be spaced like this...Allison 8yrs, Gavin 6yrs, Hannah 4yrs (next month), and Emily 2 yrs...then the baby at 1 yr.

We told the kids that we probably wouldn't be spending the money on rides at the fair. Well, Papa and MawMaw bought tickets for the four oldest to ride. What a treat!!! Thank you, Papa and MawMaw. The kids had such a good time!!!

We love you, MawMaw and Papa! Thank you for the special day and the treat!!!

We ended our trip with a tractor pull. We saw regular farm tractors, suped up farm tractors and hot rod tractors. The kids did really well. In fact, the baby couldn't take his eyes off them :)

It was a super day with wonderful family! Thank you all for the memories and of course the pictures!

Sunday with A & G

First thing we got dressed up in our Sunday best and headed out the door...miracles of miracles....EARLY for church. I got to be Gavin's Sunday School teacher today :) Aren't they so cute? They did such a super job! Then we were able to go out to CiCi's pizza for lunch. Then of course I had some errands to run. I was so proud of all this kids today. They were even outstanding in the restaurant after 3 hours at church and being tired from the weekend!

Cuddling on the couch. Sunday nights and Monday mornings are so hard for my kids. They love their daddy so much that they start worrying about him being gone at work on Sunday evening. I am so glad they love him like they do. Not to mention that he always takes time for them, especially when they are needy!

Sunday night Gavin read the story of Adam and Eve for our Bible story. That lead us into talking about consequences for our bad choices. I have been teaching my kid about good vs bad choices. So, I was able to introduce the word sin and that bad choices are called sins. Then we were talking about the result of our sin in God's eyes. Gavin was in awe and I could see the gears grinding. So I just let the conversation take the natural flow. So we were talking about even one sin won't allow us into heaven. He was devastated! In fact, he and Allison both had tears in their eyes. Once I could tell they understood all that (now understand, I did not preach fire and brimstone...just that we cannot go to heaven if we have sinned even once because that is what the Bible says). Then I told them there was GOOD NEWS!! They got excited. I told them that God gave his Son to pay for those sins and allow us to go to heaven. I explained that all we have to do is know we are sinners/have made bad choices, that we cannot go to heaven because of those sins, and ask Jesus to pay for our sins and allow us to go to heaven. Gavin interrupted me and said with tears in his eyes, "Auntie, can't I pray right now and ask Jesus to save me from my sins so I can go to heaven?" How cool is that!!!!!!! So, Sunday night Gavin got saved and had his name written in the Book of Life. Praise God for his gentle calling and leading!

Saturday with A & G

Today we got to go to Miss Audrey Ham's 1st Birthday party! I can't believe she is that old already. The kids did a super job behaving and using their manners.
Caleb helping his sister blow out her candles. Do they not look all alike the three of them?
The frantic scamper to get the falling candy! Yikes, they all got tons of candy. Yeah....thanks a lot Tammy :)
Poor Gavin! After the party we went out onto the playground. First Gavin got his first sting. There was a nest of yellowjackets right by the bridge. Then as he was sliding down to show us his sting....we landed in a huge nasty puddle at the bottom of the slide. Thankfully we learned that Gavin does not go into anaphelactive shock with stings.
Then later tonight we got to have a movie picnic in the livingroom.
Wow! What a mess.
As if they didn't have enough sugar today.....we ended the day with homemade banana splits!

Friday PM with A & G

After the zoo we came home and had a BBQ with Papa and Auntie Karen. We haven't seen her in sooo long. Welcome back, Karen. Here they all are at our little picnic table.
After the BBQ we got to have a campfire . It was lots of fun...well, except for the annoying biting flies!!!! We also got to have s'mores. Wow, what a mess, but they were good!!!!

Awww...look how sweetly he is sitting on his Papa's lap.....next picture not to pretty. Complete and utter blow out! Nasty.
Thankfully he can still smile about it :P

Today we went to the zoo with Papa. We had such a great time! The weather was just perfect at 82. The kids were super. Here they are getting to say "All Aboard" on the train ride.

Brushing the goats in the Childrens' Zoo

The kids got to feed the giraffe. It was sooo cool!

This baby orangutang was so cute. He went over to the little pond and dipped his water bottle in
