Friday in WI

Today we went tootling around Milwaukee. We wanted to show the kids Lake Michigan, but it was so foggy we couldn't see very far. It was still pretty!

Funny.....we went to the Humane Society....Mom, bought a container of Ghiradelli chocolates. We were all excited about having a treat in the car....well, they turned out to be dog treats in there!

We went down into the ghetto of Milwaukee to see my parents stomping grounds. Here is my first abode. My parents lived in the aparment that was in the back of this building when I was first born.

This was my mom's old house. My dad actually has a picture of her sitting on this railing with a black coat from back in the day. So here is our re-enactment. We got out of the van after we saw a drug deal go down. Ahh, good times in the ghetto!

The church my parents were married in

Laverne and Shirley's work :)

We went to the East Side. There was a cute hot dog shop. I loved it. Allen not so much. He gets grouchy in really small places

Mom and Dad enjoying a great dog

Me and my really trying not to be grouchy honey :)

My parents watching the waves come in with ice at Lake Michigan

My three cuties

Mom and Dad

We had promised the kids that they could go sledding. Well, it was to be 50 today with rain, so we took them out for Midnight Sledding at South. We didn't go out long but they still loved it

Bumpa and Hannah going down the run

My two men

huh.... not sure why this is sideways

Nanny even went down when with Joseph

After sledding we got into comfy jammies and had cocoa coffee. What a great day!

Xmas in WI

These pics are all posting backwards. This was at the end of the night on Christmas day. It was a wonderful time...Yes, Gavin is really sleeping like that :)

Dakota loved his England shirt

Hannah loves her big cousins!

Nanna and Bumpa bought Joseph a train for Christmas. Bumpa was the hero for putting it together!

Chris with Hannah's Elvis mask on. That thing was such a hit

The kids picked out a cute watch for me....they picked it by saying Auntie loves big gaudy ones!

We had a huge jar of Jelly Bellys. We had a taste off. It was fun. Some combinations were not so good!

Hannah Presley

Dana bought me a trendy green purse for Xmas. Mom was so funny...she was saying...yikes, I could never have a green purse like that. In fact, I don't like the green....I don't like the brown with the green...in fact I don't like buckles either. The next morning she opened her gift from my dad.....a green purse, with brown and buckles. We laughed sooo hard. Thankfully, Dad did not get offended. Mom was so embarassed!

Besides trains Joseph's favorite thing in the world is a backhoe. Uncle Chris and Auntie Dana gave him this.

Hannah giving big kisses

Hannah and her leopard gloves teasing Joseph

The girls got littest pet shop animals

Joseph loved his new camo pants. He just had to try to them

And the biggest hit....the box...figures!

St Nick in WI

My mom loves to do St Nick for my kids (well, and for me too :P). This year instead of mailing it all we decided we would just do it when we came from Xmas. Hannah took this pic of Emily and me...pretty good job!

Wowzers...the kids got a lot of stuff in their stocking. Emily took this pic. My kids are really getting good at taking pics. I am so proud!

What a stocking for me???? I love coming home...then I get to be a kid too :)

Thanks Nanna and Bumpa! My kids had such a good time. The sugar high should last well into the next year :)

Hannah's 1st School Concert

Playing with her siblings after the program

Hannah singing her heart out. She did such a great job. In fact, she wasn't even distracted by the wild boys in front of her. One boy even had to be removed by the principal...yet Hannah sang on :)

Hannah was a doll and got to introduce a song for the program. This is Hannah and a girl from her class

Getting her doll face on

Everyone wanted to be by our STAR
Emily, Joseph, Hannah and Julianna

Yah for family! Hannah had a whole row of fans. Thanks for coming. That was very thoughtful and special for Hannah!
Karen, Kathy, Papa, Joseph, Alan, Julianna, Emily, Hannah, MawMaw and Allen way in the next row.

IL Christmas 2008

We got to have Christmas already for our IL edition. Michelle (Allen's sister), Alan, Julianna and Lily came from NC to visit us. Alan's Aunt Kathy came from OK to spend time with all of us. It was a crazy, yet super time.
Here is Baby Lily. I love this pose!

Hannah became quite the Aunt Chelle's girl this weekend!

Today we had Christmas with Gamma, Gampa, Aunt Sandy and Sami. Gamma and Sandy made these awesome bags for all the girls. They are church bags with their names on them. They even have individual pockets for the twist up crayons!

Sami opening her presents

Aunt Kathy playing with Joseph. Boy the kids sure took to her. Though I think they completely wore her out :)

Joseph got a mini hammer and had to put it to use immediately. What a brave Papa to hold the nail for him!

Julianna went shopping and picked out her own Christmas presents. I got a roll of wrapping paper :)

Ok, this pic makes me laugh every time I see it. It looks like Allen was squished by Christmas like the Wicked Witch of the East was squished...only his feet and slippers remain....I wonder if his feet will curl up and disappear if I took off the slippers :)

All the kids got dress up...of course they had to try it all on. It was so cute!

Loving having CUZ time (Julianna called all my kids "cuz" :P)

Uncle Milton, Aunt Pam and Mindi came over and had "Christmas dinner" with us. Ha, Uncle Milton coveted this "Joe Dirt" mask I bought for Joseph! Too funny

MawMaw, Papa and all their grandkids....this was only the 217th shot ;)

Too many cousins jumpin' on the bed
