NC Vacation: First Two Days

We are off on vacation! We took off for North Carolina to see Michelle (Allen's sister), Alan, Julianna and baby Lily. We left after work on Wednesday. Our kids were doing such a super job after dark that we decided to drive straight through. Well, I fell asleep. Poor Allen!!! He did it with no help from me. He drove 14.5 hours by himself!

Thursday night we went to the city park fireworks. They had a whole fair going on . It was so awesome. We didn't have to pay for parking or for rides. The food was really cheap too! What a blessing!

We stood in line for about 40 minutes to get a 64 second train ride (the girls in front of us were timing it :P). The kids loved it though. Here is Alan loading the whole bunch!

We went back to where we parked to watch the fireworks. It was so awesome. There was no one around us and we were parked on the grass so the kids got to run around. The fireworks themselves were so great. We haven't seen ones that good in a long time. The kids all really liked them. Julianna didn't even startle...in fact, she laughed when they started going off. Funny kid!

Here are the older kids when we arrived at the park. Do you think they love their cousin? My biggest thing I have had to say as correction, "Don't maul them". Those are good problems!
Allen, Alan, Michelle, Joseph Emily, Lily Hannah and Julianna

Isn't she just precious?

The train we rode

All my kids love to sit on Daddy's neck

Today we stayed at the house. The kids played in the backyard most of the day. They had so much fun and go oh so dirty! Emily, Julianna, Hannah, Lily and Joseph

Not sure which one I like best

The girls constantly want to hold baby Lily. As you can see, she doesn't think that is the

best of ideas :)

The soda stealing Julianna!

Ha, Uncle Alan was quite the trooper. It was in the 90's today, and he was out there with the kids running them up the hill and around the shed for quite some time. Each kid got several turns. I am tired just typing about it!!!

Thank you Papa for building another playset for us to play on! We love it!!!

In the two pictures of all the kids it appears that your 3 kids are trying not to smile :)
...the first one Hannah is holding back and Joseph is trying and the second one both Joseph and Emily are holding back. Too funny!
