Yikes, I have been horrible about keeping up with this blog lately! My main reason for writing is to report my goals for the New Year.
I thought maybe I would try to do goals for mind, body and spirit!
Spirit: I am going to read through the New Testament this year. Then I am going to memorize the verses each week with my SS kids. We are also going to start going to Sunday evening service as a family. We have been avoiding that for years.
Body: I am sunk here! I was working on getting pictures printed from the summer. Yes, I am that far behind. I don't even know what to have as a goal. We have gained back so much of the weight we have lost. I am a bit discourged. Why bother having a year of torture only to gain it back the next year?! I heard Tom Hanks have a goal to work out 300 days in 2008. I wasn't thinking of something THAT obsurd....but I was thinking something along the line of 80 days in 2008. Maybe that will take the focus off the food for a while.
Mind: I am going to work on and finish Joseph's 1st year scrapbook (yes, I am that far behind...it is driving me crazy!!!!!). Then I am going to keep up with all the kids' baby books. This has been a burden on my mind...to the point of giving me anxiety about missing things. So, I think this will be good for my mind to get this all accomplished this year.
What are your goals for this year???

Very good goals! Tom Hanks - 300 days - nightmarish! Yeah I'm attempting to read through the Bible this year, but haven't found a multiple book reading schedule, so I've just started reading Genesis. It is Jan 10 and I'm already so far behind! I'm on Jan 4 by the reading schedule- ahh!
Yeah, I have done the whole Bible in a year a couple of years ago. We read it through in chronilogical order....I hated that through the Chronicles and Kings as they covered all the same things. Other than that I liked it. It was just too much for me this year. I have been so bad with my devos so I wanted it to be some system where I get behind if I don't do it, but not 4 chapters a day :) I like the NT. You read 1 chapter a day just on the weekdays.
jen--you could check out this schedule--4 dif segments of scripture per day...

it is good to make goals! i am still working on that.
hope you are doing well, monica!
go pack go!
is to successfully have a baby - :) and then get rid of all that baby weight - by next year the baby will be 6 months old - that is doable right !?!??!
love you
Hi Monica. I too have gained back 40 of the 78 pounds that I have lost last year. So I am in the same boat. We have been eating really high fattening foods but I have loved it. It was my downfall to get that serious and extreme in dieting. I changed too many things in my eating that it got the best of me. So my clothes are tighter and Buddy wants to lose weight again too because its hard for him to function as well at work being heavy again. So keep us in your prayers that we can do this again and keep it off permanetly this time:)
I just thought I'd try it this year b/c I've never done it in a one year time frame before - it took me 2 years to do it last time.
