Prayer Requests!!!

I have some big prayer requests this week:

1. My dear friend, Karen, lost her Granny this week. Her funeral will be the end of this week. Pray for her travel back home as well as for the Lord to work even in death!

2. Praise God!!! Allen has a job interview tomorrow with the big power company around here. He is so very excited. Pray for God's will first and foremost. Pray for Allen to have calmness and clarity of thought. Then pray that we will hear a yes or no quickly (unlike my poor brother in law, Alan.....it has been a month since the last one!).

3. Pray for our new ministries: Praise Team and 5th & 6th grade Sunday School. Pray that God will use us to show his love to these precious kids. They have been told over and over that they are wild, a handful and rowdy. We want to be used to encourage and build them up.

Talking about singing....do any of my college friends have issues with their voice now that they don't sing all the time? I can't believe how my voice has changed. Do you know that I am no longer a soprano much less a first soprano. Our music director checked my range a week ago and guess what??? I am a high tenor!! Frightning. I am now trying to sing alto in the group....yeah, lots of prayer needed. Do you remember how much I needed to practice Jen and Liesl just to sing the melody! Oh funny, they have no idea what they have gotten themselves into :)

I will be praying...wow...a lot of stuff going on! All of this is great and important, but Allen's interview is really exciting to me! I can't wait to hear how it goes!

Thank you so much. I am SOOOOO excited about that one too. It will be such a blessing to our whole family if the Lord moves him! I will keep you posted!

Hey Monica! Don't ask me how I found your blog...mostly just wandering through everyone else's ;-) Anyway, I came across this post and had to comment--I'm now a LOW tenor!!!! The change in my voice, though was due to a severe case of toxemia when I was pregnant so there was tons of swelling as well as some burns to my larynx from stomach acid. I'm in the process of looking for a voice coach to help me get my voice back!!! :-s
