Growing up I thought the whole world did St Nick. It is on the night of the 5th ( I had to do it a night early as my kids are having a sleep over at MawMaw and Papa's house). It celebrates St Nicholas who would put a candy, fruit and trinket in kids shoes or stockings that were left out. I love it!
The kids had no problem getting up in time today :) That was the good point, bad point....they have only eaten candy all morning. Oh well!!!

I like that tradition. I might do it with my kids...that is, whenever I have some.
We enjoyed it too! Except I told Steve I would prefer to be surprised next year instead of knowing what was in my stocking since I filled it up :)
I like it too. Jen you are so funny. We don't even get a stocking...what did you "find" in yours??
just desserty stuff - I want an orange every year - that is all I ask for - a big thick rinded orange. I love this Christmas story we have about one a boy got for Christmas. A little different but it is the same request every year so I kind of hoped I'd get one - oh well - I guess after the 10 year marriage mark maybe I'll just let go of expectations so then anything or nothing would be great :)
